if you are over 5’11” you will be incredibly uncomfortable In these seats and with no ventilation whatsoever, it makes for a miserable experience.

Great place other than chairs uncomfortable

Kingsbury is an important historical building but it needs serious work. The elevator and ADA access is poor. The ventilation and air quality is non-existent. The stairs in the balcony are uneven. During our event I watched 3 people trip up them because of their unevenness. The seats are tiny with little to no leg room. They should re-vamp this theater to make it what it can be. Right now it is just old and tired. I will think twice before spending money to see something in this theater again after this experience.

The University has a Marriot hotel in their Research Park and you can take the U of U Campus Green Shuttle from 6am to 6pm or Night Route from 6pm to 11pm; those shuttles will drop you right in front of Kingsbury. The University of Utah also has a Guest House (https://www.universityguesthouse.com/) slightly less expensive than the Marriot and the campus shuttle https://www.uofubus.com/ also passes by there and takes you to Kingsbury. Kingsbury is on Campus and across the street you'll only find St. Catherine Catholic Church, FedEx, yogurt, a pharmacy, and a beauty salon, also Pie Pizzeria, but no hotel. This is the hotel on campus: https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/slcup-salt-lake-city-marriott-university-park/?scid=bb1a189a-fec3-4d19-a255-54ba596febe2
No dress code. I mean dont wear a swimsuit and tank. After all it is a theater.
That was my experience about one month ago. Only masks required but throughout the entire performance they must remain on (anytime you're in the building).
It depends on the show. Some concerts allow only water, other shows allow candy, and some won't allow any concessions
The stadium parking lot is the closest that would have room. However if classes are in session that may not be allowed. You could call the campus police or parking enforcement to check availability
I believe September 29, 1977. There was a review of the show in the September 30th edition of the Salt Lake Tribune.
