They are hung with a hydraulic lift system so they lower the chandeliers down to ground level th change lights and clean the crystal's.

Abravanel rarely has performances with age restrictions. But as with other venues and content of the performance there will be a statement about "no babes in arms " or not suitable for ages....." As mentioned earlier each performance will indicate if there are any age restrictions. Based on that info, select your performance from the many available and have a wonderful time.

The ticket office opens at 10:00am weeks days, sometime on Saturday.

About 930 pm was dark when left the building

There are a few pay parking garages across the street on the east side, and it's right next to the Temple Square trax stop.

We exit the Freeway at 4th south and head East. We turn left (North) on West Temple and drive down the tunnel (dead ahead and center of the road) and park under Norstroms. Nordstroms is covered parking and right across the street from Abravanel Hall (a two minute walk). Enjoy the show.

No dress code. I've seen people wear everything from jeans/t-shirt to tuxedos. Most common dress is business casual though.

They usually have a 7pm introspective for that evening's progress that something includes the conductor.
