Our house needed to be completely re-sided with Hardie Board. I was planning to move forward with the big name, leading Hardie Board construction company. Until I met Jacob. From the minute I met him, I could tell he was special. Knowledgeable, strong listening skills, a problem solver. I instantly knew he knew his stuff and that I could trust him. His bid was also significantly less than the quote I received from the other company. So, I hired him. And, it was the best decision I made during our entire exterior reno project. South Florida Siding did a terrific job. Jacob and Hunter were hard working, dedicated, meticulous and collaborative. Their work was terrific and the house looks fabulous. I can not say enough good things about this company. When I called Jacob I had known my siding needed repair and that the structure underneath was in rough shape. I could not have anticipated the amount of damage that would be hidden in the walls. Jacob and Hunter were descriptive and knowledgeable in the damages and repair process keeping me informed at all times. The repair work was top notch! These guys practically rebuilt my stick frame structure! Jacob also had no problem making sure contractors from other companies were not taking short cuts while doing other projects related to the exterior of my house! You can tell Jacob is extremely knowledgeable in several aspects of construction work. He also genuinely cares about the product and work you receive as well as your home which we all know is extremely rare now a days! My siding job looks flawless, my framing structure rebuilt and my peace of mind restored. These guys went above and beyond anything I could have ever expected! This company will forever have my business and recommendation! SFS, Began work on my house on November 15 2021, and finished with final inspection on December 21 2021. A total residing using Hardie plank. Jacob and his crew (of one) removed all of my existing siding, trim, fascia, soffit, (removed gutters and reinstalled) front porch ceiling and post wrap, existing front porch decking, outside lighting, (new fixtures to be provided by me) and hauled all of it away. Every day my yard was left clean. Next, they installed 5/8 plywood. On top of the plywood, Tyvek house wrap was installed along with peel/stick membrane around all windows and doors. Hardie Cedarville trim was then installed around all windows and doors along with new drip edges on all. James Hardie plank was then installed along with caulking and sealing on all joints meeting the trim boards. My two attic vents were also replaced, caulking there as well. A plastic strip was installed behind the Hardie plank where the planks butted together. I hope I can add pictures. SturdiMount boxes were installed at all openings where lighting fixtures, electrical outlets, and hose bibs existed. Next they painted my home and trim. Beautiful job. No over spray, and no trim paint on the home color. AMAZING. They also made and installed a new porch deck for me. They removed about 6 inches of soil, hauled it away along with the old deck, added a bed of crushed rock, made a frame to place on top, and then installed Trex planking. BEAUTIFUL. These men are amazing and very willing to work with their clients. Jacob and his crew, one person, Hunter, truly take pride in their work. I am very impressed with these two young men and I would highly recommend them.
