We truly enjoyed the state park and seeing its many wonders. For those in the Tein Falls area I would consider it a must see. How awesome to have such a wonderful place to go and vast in its beauty.

Great area for a picnic or to cool off. Wonderful place for family pics. Ritter Island is a favorite place.

So calm and peaceful. There is a little park before you cross the bridge and it is open most of the time but once you cross the bridge over to the island it closes around 4 so the people who rent the two houses on the island have it all to themselves. It's a great place to hike, fish, picnic, kayak or just look at the beautiful river and waterfalls. During mosquito season make sure you put it on heavy.

Did the whole Thousand Springs scenic byway today with all the stops and this was my favorite. It's a total little paradise down by the river. So peaceful, wildflowers, river otters, woodpeckers, clean bathroom, large manicured lawn area with many picnic tables, can wade is the beautifully clear water (very cold, but you get used to it!). Hardly anyone there at all at 6pm and had the gorgeous waterfall to ourselves. The island itself usually closes at 3:00 p.m. presumably due to there being a couple historic vacation rentals on it (can be booked through the state park). However the park part not on the island is open until 10:00 p.m. This includes the waterfall and the picnic area with restrooms and access to the springs. It is of note that there is a hydro power station (shaped like a castle, lol) at the site but the place is so beautiful it's not a problem and it gets out of view once you start walking. If this information was helpful to you I'd appreciate a quick like. Thank you!

You can fish right on or in the water at Ritter. Further down it hits the snake via Hagerman waters for great fishing spots.
Try to get ahold of idaho power.
It a house for the county employees I believe call the police department in gooding shawn gough can tell you
We used to at least get to go walk around it, look inside a little but not anymore. But it's still a beautiful place to visit, you can go tubing, tuning, walk to the dalls, which is in view from the park. Overall it's a neat place to visit, have bbq's, get togethers, or just relax, float the gentle river that flows though there, or simply enjoy the scenery. Very pretty place.

Yes, just has be on a leash when on the island, Power plant park around the island is private park and they can be off leash.
It is taken care of and opened by a small family that lives there and cares for it. The island portion is not an open for all, at all times, park. They are open many hours and days through the summer months, but i would not expect the island to be open often before Memorial Day weekend. There is a sunrise Easter service held there every year. So you could go this Sunday.
