Nice oasis with chilly water. The main swimming area is about half a mile from the point where you go down into the canyon, after a bridge across the river
Justin Quattro
Great hiking experience. Beautiful scenery and the swimming area (while cold) was an amazing experience
James Carter

Yes Ariana, but the trail down there is precarious. Follow the ridge line til you see the cable walk down into the canyon, then go left along and with the river flow (you don't end up at the lagoons you see from the viewpoint, as there isn't a path to them). Follow the windy path past the water fall and water tank station until you come to another lagoon, keep going until you see the gravel area where you can wade into. If you cross the bridge, there is even a small shady spot there that families with little ones aim for. Have fun!
1000 springs has camp sites and Banbary hot springs does But not the hiking area of bix canyon
You can do both. Fishing does require a license though. Big swimming hole with nice bank about a quarter mile from the waterfall.
