Great place for a family outing. Tour Spectre, go fishing, walk, take your boat/kayak/canoe, cookout, camp, picnic, or just play with the numerous goats. Afterwards, we went home and watched Big Fish. Fun day!!!

Pretty spooky on a rainy winter day. I am a big fan of Big Fish movie and had to see it. It's a cool place! Stay away from the houses since they are deteriorating. Goats and sheep are friendly, you can camp here and there are also restrooms with showers. The island is open daily, dawn to dusk. To enter you have to pay a fee - when paying online, you'll get the gate code immediately. If paying cash (envelope box), you need to call a number to get the code. It's $5 an adult.

Me and my wife got married here. Just know it is open to the public and there will be people that paid to be there walking around your wedding. We didn't notice but a couple times. we really didnt care it was beautiful and we recommend it.
Yes they are just props but there are cabins and camp sites you can rent there
Around the whole island. For easier fishing people use kayaks, canoes, small boats, etc. However, you can fish from the banks as well. I've seen several tents there in the past, they have restrooms and picnic tables.
