Im not a person who normally writes reviews but this place is a place that truly disappointed me. I have been cooking for 11 years and enjoy going out to new places and trying new food especially if it's Mexican food. Tried this place for the first time today with my grandmother and we will not be coming back. Both mine and my grandmother's meals tasted like the meat was all soaked in water and then cooked in a microwave. Chips also tasted really stale and kinda bitter. The service was also terrible. Took us 45 minutes to get our meal which the meals we ordered were truly simple dishes to make and my grandmother's drink was brought to her wrong after being asked 3 times by the waiter how she wanted her drink. Only thing I enjoyed was the Dr pepper I ordered. This was the first restaurant that I have been to in my life that I thought should have been on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. If I could give 0 stars I would.

We loved the food! A huge variety of options on the menu. The portions were large enough to have leftovers.The food was flavorful and beautifully prepared. They even had options for my super picky eater. Our service was quick and friendly. We will go back! Our new favorite Mexican restaurant.

I hate to write negative reviews about servers and especially bartenders, but I cant let this one go. I ordered some fantastic tacos from the lunch menu that I was only able to access from my phone's QR app and I was confused about the lunch specials because of it. What is is this 2020? What happened to the large glossy colorful detailed menus? So I ordered the tacos all carbon and the bartender asked if I wanted 3 instead of two, so I said "sure", well I was not told that the $10.95 lunch special would be $17.95 if I ordered 3 tacos!! what?? Diego the bartender who was flippantly disregarding the issue told me it was because I ordered a dinner plate of tacos with more rice and beans- when I specifically asked him for the lunch special. If you're going to charge $7.00 more for one more taco, please tell me! I was having lunch with a colleague and he ordered the burrito special and he received the same amount of beans and rice that I did in my regular dinner taco platter, clearly there is not much difference in food quantity, just a price. I'm disappointed that I had to look at the menu on my phone, which made it difficult to see the differences, and disappointed that our service was lousy when it come to communication. oh btw I speak Spanish fluently so it wasn't a language issue. Diego simply didn't care. I wont be returning to Tequilas any time soon, even if they do have the nicest selection of Tequila at any restaurant in Denver.

The food was great but the service was terrible. Being a server myself I can understand being busy but this definitely wasn’t the case my waitress kept going out to her car. We first got sat on the patio until it started to rain which is how I seen the waitress keep going to her car. She came to us one time while we sat outside. Never refilled out drinks. I then found the host to ask if we can be moved in and explained how we had been sitting outside for over 30 min and she only came to see us once. We got moved inside but the service never got better. We got no refills the only time she came was to take our order. She didn’t even drop off our food. Nice restaurant but they need to hire better staff.
