Beautiful location by the lake, with all the rooms facing the lake. The rooms have been renovated with a lot of the 'retro' touches still intact. Highly recommended!

Had great view if you would overlook the weeds growing up in front of our room. Sitting down out in front of room, much of lake view covered up by weeds, but great mountain view. If you stood up you got a great view of the full lake and mountains. While sitting the view was not as good as rooms on either side of us. Thought about cutting them down, but figured there may be some rules against doing their landscaping maintenance. Did get a surprise extra charge that wasn't on reservations made through the National Park system. Apgar Village added a daily utility free wasn't large, think about $4.00, but they should say this up front. Overall would stay again, but request a different room. People that run place are nice and it is always full.

When we come to glacier this is our favorite place to stay in park. Clean and simple no phone or TV or a c. But the deck facing lake (get the second floor) is best view. Even in bed with the window view you can watch the lake and mountains. There is a small little town Apgar with a few shops an stores , restaurant to eat close by.

This small mom & pop type place ( built in 1956) was a blast from the past! It was 50’s and 60’s all over again. Very quaint and comfortable and it had a full kitchen as well. Our front porch was literally right on Lake McDonald and the views of sunrise and sunset were incredible. We were so lucky to score the last room available. What a great place to stay.
