I love this place! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at West Glacier RV and Cabins. The location was perfect! Easily accessible to town (Columbia Falls), the park entrance, Apgar Village, and the eateries/shops/activities at West Glacier Village. It was especially nice that there was a paved trail over to the village, which we used at least a couple times a day. Our cabin was super cute, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed to make a few meals “at-home” while we were on vacation. I didn’t know how complete our kitchen would be, but it had: Sink Refrigerator/freezer 2 cooktop burner Small Propane grill Toaster 4 c coffee maker (size #2 cone coffee filters) Microwave Dishwasher Flatware/dinnerware/drinkware Pots/skillets Large serving bowl (Just no oven or sheet pans) Hopefully this helps some people plan their meals ahead of time better than I was able too because the Village Grocery was EXTREMELY expensive. If I had anything more to suggest it would maybe be to add a couple hooks inside to hang hats/coats/etc. And, we weren’t able to sit outside and enjoy the scenery, sip our morning coffee, or roast marshmallows by the fire, while we were there because there is NO shade from trees or structures. (To be fair, apparently the week we were there was a scorcher). Each cabin does have a covered porch, but the way our row was oriented left no reprieve from the sun from 6am-9pm.

Absolutely love this place and we had a wonderful time staying there. It’s relatively new and the trees are still small, but it’s clean, well maintained and the staff was super friendly. You are very close to the entrance to the park and local amenities such as the golf course. So bring your sticks. The bathrooms/showers were very clean and the laundry facility had several machines to use. I’d definitely stay here in the future.

We just got here today and we will be here for 6 days, but I must say this place is absolutely beautiful. The people are nice the spots are very clean and spacious and I love the sound of the train tootin as it goes by. I'm sure by the end of 6 days I would have more to say but I just got this prompt to rate my stay so I did it a little early. I highly recommend this place.

Where to begin. We had SUPER high hopes for this CG. The most expensive campground we have ever stay at. We booked this CG 6 months in advance with a "Good Sam" Discount. Several days before arriving, the CG was running a special for June (Spring) and September (Fall) either 20% off or book 3 nights and get the 4th free. I reached out to the CG to see if we could get this new special price ($120 vs $84 a night) since we had yet to check-in. On the phone, they said they'd see what they do could when we arrived. When we arrived, they said that discount was for "new" reservations only and wouldn't extend any sort of "olive branch" discount to us. Unless you are booking for July & August, wait to book this CG, and don't book it months in advance. This way you can take advantage of discounts. When we arrived, there may have been 10 total rigs there. When we left, approx 25-30. June is not busy in this area because Going-To-The-Sun road is closed at Avalanche CG. Not supposed to open until June 27th at the earliest and more likely July. Pro's: 1) Location relative to Glacier NP. 2) Good amount of children for our boys to play with. 3) Paved roads make easier skating, biking, etc.... 4) Clean bathrooms & showers Negatives: 1) Discounts do NOT apply to advanced reservations. June & September are NOT busy. I'd only book July/August early. 2) Our boys went to buy firewood and we knew it was $8.99 some sort of tax (we thought MT has no tax). Anyways, our boys went with $9.25 to get firewood, and the total was $9.26. Staff had our boys go all the way back to the RV for a single penny! A single penny!!!! 3) Sites were unkept. Grass was 6" long and there were a good amount of weeds throughout the gravel parking area. The only lots that had the lawn mowed while we were there were the lots closest to the main road through the middle of the park. They mowed those and left the rest. 4) Outside of a small jungle gym, there are no other amenities for kiddo's. 5) Mosquito's!!!! Everywhere!!!! Lastly, we try to be as reasonable as possible when it comes to our reviews. The discount issue really put a thorn in our side from the get-go but we tried to keep an open mind. After staying here for almost a week, our opinion didn't change much. If we are ever up here again, we'll try and stay at the Glacier KOA or an area slightly farther away. It only takes 15 minutes to get to the entrance of the park from Columbia Falls, so there is no need to pay the exorbitant nightly rates to be right next to it.
