The David Davis Mansion is well worth a visit. The house is beautiful and the guide did an excellent job explaining things about the family and house. Mrs Davis was very forward thinking when designing the home. Definitely will visit again with my family

Review Date: May 23rd, 2012 One of the first places I visited when I created my travel list. Sadly, my visit was over 4 years ago so I don’t remember too much about this place. Nor do I have any photos aside from the one on Facebook, for some reason. Those usually bring back memories from my visit. What I do remember is that this mansion was really nice and really huge. Everything always seems bigger on the inside and this is one of those cases. I remember being approached by someone after arriving and wandering around aimlessly. She gave my friend and I a grand tour and it was great! I think David Davis was a Judge? Overall, a beautiful mansion and a great tour. If you are in the Bloomington area and love history, check out the David Davis mansion. You’ll want to move in, I guarantee it.

It is free, but a suggested donation of $10 per adult and $5 per child is listed on their site. It is not required to enter, but there is a drop box in the visitor's center where the tour begins. I have seen some give more than the suggestion and some give nothing. It is a nice place, and I hope you enjoy your visit and tour there.
There really is no "best" time for a tour. We are open 9-3:30 Wed-Sat. Come at 10 after the hour for the beginning of the orientation video and the tour goes into the Mansion at the bottom of the hour.
We are open Wed-Sat at 9. Last tour begins at 3:30. Closed Sun-Tues. Thanks for your interest in the Mansion!
