I was warned, about the mask aggressive owner, but the oppression is hard to describe. She was large and in your face with the box of masks and was then forcefully helpful. I politely took the mask and wore it, but I felt like I was being watched constantly. I couldn't focus on finding a book - it is a cute shop, but I felt unwelcome. After while I pulled he mask off my nose, and sure enough I got a stern reprimanded. I left.

Visiting here from Florida and was very excited to see a bookstore nearby. Walked in the door and immediately upon walking in, was confronted by a large, aggressive, and unfriendly woman asking if my mom and I had a mask. Worst experience I've ever had in a bookstore. I'm a flight attendant and travel all over the country... The mask mandate has been lifted by government, transportation, etc. I found her to be very hostile, rude, and aggressive about wearing a mask when there is no mandate now.

Very bad experience. Visiting here from Indiana and thought I would stop in. Walked in and a woman who I found out was the owner immediately confronted me with "do you have a mask" and I said no, I thought Illinois had done away with that. She said this is MY business, I'll tell you what I've had it just get out. I offered to wear a mask, but she went ahead and kicked me out. Good luck staying in business with that attitude
