Went today for a 4pm appointment. Arrived at 3:30 and was done and renewed my driver’s license to a real ID by 3:50. The ladies in this office were all wonderful!

Outstanding experience today at the Hampton service center. Needed to retitle and register a vehile i bought thru private party sale. New DMV program lets you bring paperwork completed and "drop off." I will then receive completed title and registration in 3 to 5 days. They had a dedicated person who had me in and out in 15 min. No tix, no waiting, truly a "drop off" service. Wonderful idea DMV

I made an appointment ahead of time, but I was dreading going to the DMV because going to any DMV is usually frustrating. I just moved back to Hampton Roads and needed a new license. I walked in a few minutes before my appointment, and before I could even finish filling out the form, the security guard told me I was up next. The worker who helped me, Kiki, was patient and professional. I was extremely relieved things went so smoothly, and it truly made my day. I know the DMV gets a lot of flack, so I think it's only fair to let them know when they do a great job. Thanks, Kiki!

I am extremely upset, I caught the bus and walked to the DMV from the bus on the same side as 7-Eleven.(on Orcutt) When I came inside of the building. I explained how I was supposed to get my license turn back or reactivated while I was at the Information center. Before the lady at the Information center gave me a ticket (C62 or C52), I told her I was supposed to fax this information to the DMV medical records. The letter from The CSB stated I will not be taking any medication prescribed from them after all the medication is gone. I waited until I was called to get things situated at lane 13. This is when the lady in an uniform with DMV sew on her shirt came and tried to tell me I was wrong. I also asked her, can she fax it to the DMV medical records, along with my medical records that I already have on file. She just kept denying my request. So, I told her the one in Denbigh knows my situation. And they fax my information without a problem. So, she said okay as she took my ticket with a lady next to her with casual clothes on like the rest of the employees without the DMV being seen on their clothes.

l would suggest you keep a copy of your appointment in your car. Just in case. It is taking 90 days to get in the door.
Monday through Friday 8:00 until 5:00; Saturday 8:00 until 12:00. Wednesday is the best day to come.
The way the government is run now or days good luck it was closed when I went there and I've called them you don't get an answer so I don't even know what to do all I want to do is update my address so good luck on it
I think they have EZ pass services
No all DMVs are appointment only.
They will not let you in without an appointment, definitely try the online ordering the only thing you can go up there without an appointment is to get handicap placards for your vehicle
There's no appointments available online. I've been checking for months
I need a new id
Go to Virginia DMV website, select a local DMV location and look for "Schedule appointment" link

You will have to do some work in order to find out this answer. They don't normally post local p.o.c. on the state web page.
No you still have to make appointments
No
You can go to the DMV and get a standby appointment from the employee at the info desk. You will need to let security know what you are doing. They have strict protocol now. Hope this helped.
Yes
You have to go on dmv.gov and schedule an appointment. If you have an account with DMV it will be alot quicker.
Probably, best to call or get an appointment to have them to ck it out.
Make an appointment
You can go to the DMV website and sign in or create an online account to request one or online can give you additional options for getting on. The only other way that I know of is to make an appointment with a DMV to get it. Different needs come up with different dates and times based on what you select.
Yes you do need to make an appointment to replace your ID. You have to go on DMV Virginia and look on the site for ID's or how to get an appointment and follow the instructions or prompts .
Appointment only
I haven't tested in over 20yrs. I don't think I'm the one for that question.
I don't know about personalized plates but you will need paperwork from the person's doctor and you will need to make an appointment, current wait time is 90 days. Good luck to you.
Yes
Sorry Kristin! Tou can't faxed to this location. Any documentation you have to bring in person. Hope this help! Have an awesome day!!
That same day
When I had my appointment they told me to show up at least 15 minutes before my appointment time.
They're making appts for everything
Yes. You need an appointment for everything. You won't be allowed in the building without one.
That's an internet question, and I don't have access to the internet! Put Virginia DMV in your search query, and the site should give you that answer
They are closed today.
After you make your appointment it will tell you that your appointment has been confirmed and then they will also send a email
No all closed till further notice
Not sure if they do, but call them and ask.
Yes, As long as the person was born in Virginia.. You can go to a DMV select if you live close to one
Birth certificate, social security card and two letters addressed to you at your home address
I think a lot of people go to this particular DMV from both Newport News and Hampton because of its location...other DMVs I've visited aren't as packed with people and your wait time is half the time. I'm just guessing but I'd suggest going to another DMV unless you go when they first open..
No
Yes
DMV is closed tomorrow.
There is no drive though anymore
The test is free to take unless you fail it's 2.00 to retest and once you pass it is 35.00 for the permit. The 35.00 also covers your license fee as well once you pass your driving test.
Wed before lunch
It has to be an original document
No
The DMV will be closed on the following dates 11/22, 11/23 and 11/24.
You will need the original title to the vehicle, or registration card no more than 1 year old if it's out of state title. If virginia title need lien release and it can be faxed to dmv directly.
All DMV's on the pennisula are closed today. Not sure about the tidewater area. You can call Richmond to find out at 804-497-7100.
That hasn't been determined. You will need to check the website or call Richmond 804-497-7100.
Yes. Get there at 7am so you'll be in the front when they open at 8am. That line gets long very quickly on Saturdays.
What do you mean an alternate line
Original ID is 16.00 for ppl 15 years and older. It can take 5-7 business days by mail. Replacements are 10.00.
All DMV offices in VA will be closed on 8/4/2018.
Yes, you can
How will I make an appointment?
Appointments are not required but recommended due to the number of people that test on Saturdays.
You have present some form of identification and something like a bill to show proof of residence. If you don't have an ID or could maybe call
Did you take a motorcycle safety course ? If not then you need to. That way all you have to do is show the certificate and you'll get your license
