Very impressed with this park. Lots of large spacious RV sites. Cement pads with full hook-ups. Plenty of room for larger rigs. Close to nature, great price, well maintained and some sites have water views. We were only there for 2 nights....wished we could of stayed longer!

Very happy with my single night stay (Thurs evening in late April). Two loops in the campground - they feel like two separate campgrounds. Antiloch loop is cheaper. It can accommodate RVs, but looks more geared for tent campers. Flat crushed stone sites with electric, water, fire rings, and a lantern pole. Sites are smaller but in a nice wooded area, and close to the boat launch. Catoma loop is more for RVs. Paved sites that are long/deep with electric, water, sewer, fire ring, and lantern pole. Very private on this side. Showers and bathrooms (okay). Laundry (didn't use it, so can't comment) Boat ramp (didn't use, so can't comment) No store in camp but dollar general is minutes away. No firewood sold in park.

Very nice Campground. The plentiful grassy areas had been recently mowed, so it was ready for the big crowd on Labor Day Weekend. There are two loops at Gunter Hill; Antioch and Catoma. We stayed on Catoma, the newer of the two loops... much prettier, plus it has full hook ups, which cannot be said for Antioch. We stayed at site #7. Not bad, but there were some that were MUCH better. We were surprised to find that this Campground didn't close their playgrounds due to COVID. We have been to a few other Corps of Engineers facilities lately, and this is the only one that didn't seem to observe COVID precautions. We also didn't see camp hosts at all during our stay except when we entered and exited the Campground. Not sure what that says about their level of service, especially considering that we saw more than one overflowing trash can at the boat ramp and bath houses. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we will likely give them another try someday.

The tent sites are the same as RV sites if you go to the older side "Anti" there are better sites for tents, but they are still among RVs there is no differentiation

Yes, there is two or three beach areas with sand. No life guard.
Fire in the fire pits is fine but remember you are in the woods and a forest fire wouldn't be good
Yes you can camp in a tent. The old side (Antioch) is $18. The new side (Catoma) is $26.
7a to 10p
Yes to showers and laundry.
It's best to book on line to be sure you get the site you want if you book at the office someone can book the site you are on and make you move.
