Great place for a moderate hike. Moderate for a 50+ out of shape couple. After a rain there are slick spots and some mud so recommend hiking boots on those days. We stayed close to the river on our hike which made for a very pleasant and shady stroll to see the falls

Is a great pit stop in case anyone needs to use the bathroom or wants a place to have lunch at. There are picnic tables and trails with flowers! A beautiful stream passes through, it's a great trail to walk in case you don't want to do an extreme hike!

Beautiful windy day at the lake. Great place to take the kids, and dogs on a hike. Its 2.3 miles in total around the lake. Canoe rental is available as well as picnic tables.

Great park for a hike. The 5 mile loop is beautiful and moderate diffuculty. The park has lakes, several waterfalls and some meadows. Dogs are allowed on the trails and elsewhere in the park. If visiting Blowing Rock, definetely come here.

Yes. Very worth it. If your on the northside (i beleive its the northside), facing towards grandfather across the lake.. i guess its one of the prettiest views/scenes on the parkway. The hike around the lake is easy and short, but if you cross the parkway and go up in the camp grounds theirs a 5 mile loop trail (boone fork trail) that is also awesome. A breif section of mountains to sea trail also runs along with boone fork for about 2-3 miles. That whole area of the parkway is a real treat to explore.
Restrooms, picnic area and campground are all wheelchair accessible with assistance.
If you walk across the bridge there is a trail that will fork off into 2 directions. The first will go straight in front of you and the other will fork right. If you take the right trail you will eventually come up to a beachy area where they might be able to throw rocks. It is past the beaver info place and will be on the right side.
No they don't have a frisbee course but they are a very large open field across from the picnic area that you could throw a frisbee
Most likely, they are partially draining it for end-of-season maintenance.
Stocking schedule next is 4/18/21
No. Vehicles are only permitted in the parking area.
Yes there is a very nice trail round price Lake
Yes they are open in addition to the porta-poties that were still in front of them 7/2/2020
No I believe all the trails are hiking.
Unfortunately, I really wouldn't expect a walk up site to be available. :/ mainly because you're coming on one of the busiest weekends people come to visit.
All year depending on the roads! Call to ask about price!
Go to recreation.gov and search for Julian Price Campground, or call their hotline, which is 1-877-444-6777.
