Although it was very easy to sign up for a policy with Branch, I am currently fighting through a nightmare scenario with my first and only claim. At first, things were going smoothly but branch is quickly showing their disregard for customer service. Background: a slight water backup revealed damage to my sewer line and the need for repairs. When I first spoke with the branch adjuster she was easy to deal with and answered my questions. I have water backup and service line coverage. I was told that the sewer line repair bills (~11k) would be covered by the service line coverage. I asked the agent to double check as this is a substantial bill and I was repeatedly told that the bill would be covered (minus my deductible). At that point, I would've been giving a 5 star rating. I even recommended the company to family members and tried to talk friends into signing up. Little did I know, the information she was giving me was almost entirely false. I was told my entire 11k claim would be covered (minus the deductible) and then they pulled the rug out from under me. At this point I'm stuck with an 11k bill that my agent had repeatedly told me (over the course of multiple discussions, and two estimates) would be covered. As soon as the mistake was discovered, my adjuster started giving attitude and has been a huge dissapointment. I understand that coverage is coverage but once you tell someone that they are covered, a customer service oriented company would honor that verbal commitment. My adjuster and her supervisor acknowledge that I was told the claim would be covered. They just have no interest in honoring that promise of coverage. Branch's premiums may be lower than the competition but (in my experience) that came with agents that don't understand their coverage/claims process or care much about customer service. My personal recommendation is to avoid this company at all costs.

I am a recent customer and it is so much more affordable than progressive and that's cause I have 3 vehicles from 389 to 180 a month
That happened to me with Hartford. It was great insurance for a few years. I added on my RV for a real decent price too. I wrote down the new date for automatic payments. But, by the end of the year, I was notified after paying my car registration that I was no longer covered. I called the insurance company and they said I was dropped over 60 days ago! I got no notifications I was late by text, by phone, or mail!!! I had no proof doing it over the phone and was forced to renew with someone else, which cost me a good $700 more. When I was eligible for the right time period, I looked around for better. I went with Branch. Very friendly people and efficient. They were able to save me over $500 and I was happy enough with that.
