This a historic building and we did have some weird stuff happen during our two days stay. The manager Ginger was absolutely a doll, helpful and went above and beyond. Her husband Bobby made us some Gumbo that was absolutely devine! I missed good Cajun food. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's an older building but it has all the amenities (except a pool but we weren't there for that). The rooms are clean, linens clean, everything was excellent with our stay. I couldn't thank them enough and hope to bring my mother to visit as well one day. Thank you Ginger and Bobby for the excellent service and also as I said you're more than welcome to visit when y'all head my way!

Went down for New Orleans Essence Fest and had a blast! Accommodation were amazing. Enjoyed the location close to everything. If you're not looking for anything too fancy this is a great place to stay do things in the area

I did have an experience where I woke up in the night with my chest in pain. I never had that happen before. A tour guide said it could be the spirit of The Axeman because he would chop his victims in the head and chest. He suggested I play a jazz song before bed, and it worked. No more pain in the middle of the night!

There are strange things that happen in the middle of the night...like doors creeping open and little noises....you have to experience it yourself but I would definitely stay again
Your best bet is to use a parking garage close by. I paid for for the day's I was there and used Uber to the hotel and then back again. Otherwise you walk everywhere.
It's about 2 blocks from Bourbon Street. It really is the perfect location for everything. In addition to Bourbon, it is close to the French Market and Frenchman Street for good, live music.
Not sure of ownership. We were there a year ago and they were remodeling. Guy named Widner was the innkeeper.. Really nice guy, part of the reason we'll be back in a couple months. Hope this helped.
