We used Cross Sound Ferry to get to New London, Connecticut from Long Island, N.Y. We had our 5th Wheel travel coach with us. They were concerned about the tide being high on the Connecticut side and didn't want to damage our coach when offloading. They thought they would have to move our time to cross later. They talked to the Captain. He said it would be okay and he docked at a different dock. We offloaded with no problems. They were fantastic.

Yes they do.The big ferries are made for big hauls and can fit trucks,buses,cars..to a certain number/weight of course.I would call ahead to make arrangements or go online n check it all out and you can get your Rewards card and earn points for each trip too..and buy Tix before hand when you want also,always check ferry schedules and FYI..day before trip and of check all schedules,weather deffinately!!have had issues due to weather!good luck!
Around 70$ for vehicle and around 15$ or additional passengers. You do not need a reservation. But it would be recommended. Also if you ever go as a walk on without a vehicle its easy to do without a reservation.

Adam... About an hour and 20 minutes and you can take your car.. You can also take the jet which is 45 minutes but you can't take the car on the jet (beautiful ride).
On their website,theres a sign up..quite easy and you can print out a card if you have access to print.Great way to build up points towards your next ferry run or purchases..Enjoy!P.S They added new two new Sea jets..and they are Awesome..clean and big and fast!
