One of the most unique viewpoints on the Island. The land narrows to a literal point and, depending upon the tide, you can have both the Long Island Sound and Peconic Bay lapping at your ankles. Beware of strong tides. Good fishing here as well. Please pack out your trash, and consider bringing an extra bag to haul some refuse from less considerate. Purchase a Suffolk County Outer Beach Permit at Indian Island to drive to the point or park at the lot and enjoy the hike. Great place to watch a storm too!

Just drive to the end of the North Fork and enjoy the view.

There are no signs stating you cannot. That said, strong current, wouldn't go that far out.
Officially open to any Suffolk County resident. Not enforced unless it is busy or people are being idiots, leaving garbage and fishing lines, bait bags, etc. If you are a Suffolk county resident, get a green key and an outer beach permit and you can drive all the way out to the point, fish, etc. No amenities here, just beach. Bring a bag to do some beach cleanup and leave it better than you find it.
Not sure if it's a Green Key or an other permit. I believe its State not Suffolk county. Signs are posted referencing permit required..
