It's a shell of it's former self. It was an excellent and beautiful place to camp. It's a part of our family's memories but that's all it will ever be, memories. The park is ALWAYS closed due to various reasons. They're just excuses of why camping is no longer available. We've called multiple times and as previously stated, always an excuse. Just sad.

I'd avoid staying here unless you have no other options. No running water, no water in the river and no flushing toilets. I did get a picnic table, fire pit i couldn't use, and a decent spot for my tent. For $35 I should have kept going South for other options.

It’s one of the few “first come” campsites in California. Clean outhouses but keep in mind you have to bring your own water. Great for those who know how to survive without taking a shower for a day or two 🤓🏕
