I began seeing Dr. Spangenthal after a pulmonary embolism at 30 years old, due to birth control. I was hospitalized in Gastonia, and they discharged me with no follow-up care plans. After attempting to follow up with a pulmonologist on my own in Gastonia, and being rudely turned down, I found Dr. Spangenthal. I was scared and needed reassurance and to feel like I was recovering properly/well. He followed up with me for two years, even seeing me through an accidental pregnancy - about 6 months after my PE. I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Spangenthal and will never see another pulmonologist if I have future issues, as long as he is still practicing! I highly recommend him, and anyone else in his practice. They’ve all been in incredible!
