Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. BJ and his crew have cared for Izzi for 14 years. They love him almost as much as we do! :)

I could never find a better vet clinic. The staff are so very knowledgeable. My dogs have seen every one of them and find them all equally compassionate and caring. Thank you!

Our Oakley loved Dr. Crowley! Everyone was very nice and took their time throughout the visit to get to know her. It was our first visit at a vet clinic and I will recommend this place to everyone that needs a vet ☺️

Dr. Dempsey is the best! She took the time to help me go over my dogs cancer diagnosis from our previous vet. She answered all my questions & concerns along with some suggestions on her care going forward. I will definitely be back.

Questions & Answers

Does anyone know if Lepto and Lyme are included with the vaccines here?

Yvette Allen | Aug 1, 2021
Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Aug 2, 2021

We recommend Lepto vaccine annually and it's included in the Wellness Package. Lyme isn't but we can get the vaccine in advance of an appointment with notification!

Do you need to call and make an appointment to get your pet's nails trimmed, sutures removed and anal glands expressed?

Sebastian Dailey | Apr 29, 2019
Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Apr 30, 2019

Yes! We recommend that you call to make an appointment for any of these types of procedures, We want to make sure that we have enough technical staff to be able to assist you by making a set appointment time to meet with them!

How much food can I feed my cat/dog?

Sebastian Dailey | Apr 29, 2019
Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Apr 30, 2019

On most if not all dog/cat food bags there should be an AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) label that simply states the amount of food to feed your pet based on their weight and/or age. These charts are typically correct in how much to feed your pet, as in any situation if you have more questions please call us to talk to one of our veterinary staff members to further assist you!

What is the difference between a wellness appointment and a sick appointment?

Sebastian Dailey | Apr 29, 2019
Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Apr 30, 2019

A wellness appointment is a complete health review. We review a lot of different variables to your pet’s lifestyle as well as given any necessary vaccinations and a complete multi-system examination. At that time, the Dr will visit about any concerns and give advice on any medical, behavioral or nutritional questions you may have. A sick appointment is a more directed office visit focused on a specific concern. Most of the time the questions and history taking are more geared toward the directed problem. Often in these types of appointments other medical concerns and questions, such as behavior discussions, can get lost when focused on a directed problem.

When should you give a flea/tick preventative and which one is recommended?

Sebastian Dailey | Apr 29, 2019
Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Apr 30, 2019

Flea and tick preventative needs to be given year-round; it’s far better to prevent fleas than to have to treat an established infestation that can take up to 3 months to eradicate. Very effective products are available to prevent your pet from flea infestations, some of which can be obtained by prescription only! Call us today to talk about the best product for you and your pet!

What is the soonest and the latest appointments that you take?

Sebastian Dailey | Apr 29, 2019

Sebastian Dailey | Apr 29, 2019
Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Apr 30, 2019

Our veterinarians recommend what we call our Best Annual, which includes everything that your pet is due for that day and with an added bonus of additional bloodwork that checks your pet for anemia or infection as well as all major organs to make sure they are functioning properly, the Best Annual is $215.00.

Do you offer payment options or plans?

Our husky has a little bit of blood in her pee. What can it be?

Tammie MacDonald | Apr 29, 2019
Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Apr 30, 2019

It could be urinary tract infection, but best to call the office during business hours and we can investigate further. Good question!

Do you have prices

Pam Krause | Apr 29, 2019
Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Apr 30, 2019

We do! Any of our Client Care Specialists can offer pricing for basic services and routine care. Or a technician can prepare a treatment plan for more envolved procedures.
