East of this station, there's an unbuilt 9th Street line that would have ended at Astor Place and Lafayette Street.

PATH station on 6th Avenue and 9th Street. The entrance is on the northeast corner, on 9th Street. This station is not accessible.

you can take 9th street train and then walk to 7th.

When will the 7 from times square to Grand Central arrive?

The 9th St station serves PATH trains, not the 7. The 7 is undergoing signal work that's expected to be complete by the end of 2017. As part if that signal work, countdown clocks will be able to display wait times for the next train in real time.
