This LIRR station is still immaculate AF! It was rebuilt and just reopened in July 2020. This spot is a two-track elevated station featuring two new swanky ADA-accessible elevators, pristine platforms and canopies, new tactile warning strips on both platforms and a very lovely art glass installation created by a local artist. The new elevators are located each on the eastbound and westbound platforms. Construction on the project began in 2017 and cost $28.1 million. The station was built in 1977 and the past decade began to evoke heavy ‘Skid Row’ aesthetics and vibes. The upgrade for this station turned out wonderfully - so much so, you might almost forget how undesirable these types of infrastructure are to the local community.

Yes on the east bound platform. It takes a minute; cash, credit, debut
Take the A train Far Rockaway bound to the last stop Mott Avenue then you can take the bus to Cedarhurst.. Also more expensive but much faster, go to Nostrand Avenue and Atlantic Avenue go to the eastbound side which is on Platform B, take the LIRR Far Rockaway bound to Lawrence then you can work to Cedarhurst....
MetroCard works on subways and buses, but this is a Long Island Railroad station, so MetroCards are not valid here.
A one-way LIRR ticket between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica (transfer for AirTrain) is $7.75. The AirTrain has an $8 fee to take it from Jamaica to the Airport. The total payable is $15.75.
You need to take a eastbound train to Jamaica and transfer but I don't think there is any this weekend due to track work... So if you want to get there today by public transportation, your safest bet is probably to take the A/C train from Nostrand to Penn Station and take the LIRR from there...
