Terrible stop. No signage as usual. Stations across the two sides aren't connected so if you get into the wrong station by mistake you have to pay twice. Ridiculous.

No it's never closed, one side stairs are being worked on and repaired.
This particular station is not wheelchair accessible, even though one reviewer talked about the elevators. Obviously, she was talking about another station, and posted her review in the wrong place. The nearest wheelchair accessible stations are the 34th Street stations, with elevators at all 4 station exits, including Hudson Yards - 7 (purple) @ 34th St/11th Ave, Penn Station - A/C/E (blue) @ 34th St/8th Ave, Penn Station - 1/2/3 (red) @ 34th St/7th Ave Penn Station spans from 7th Ave to 8th Ave,) and Herald Square for B/D/F/M (orange) and N/Q/R/W (yellow) @ 34th S/6th Ave/Broadway (Broadway, 6th Ave, and 34th Street are all together here.) Penn Station and Herald Square *used* to have a passageway, but it is permanently closed. From Penn Station elevators at 34th St/7th Avenue you can take MTA buses. *All* MTA buses are wheelchair accessible. The M7 and M20 buses stop on 7th Ave @ 34th St, 31st St, 28th St, 25th St, 23rd St, 20th St, 17th St, and 14th St. Hope this helps!
