What used to be a highly desirable camping experience has lost its luster. We were VERY disappointed with our recent stay. Our camping fees and tax dollars dont appear to be utilized very wisely. While sprinklers run 24/7 on the interior and outer fringes, the immediate campsites are neglected with dying grass everywhere. Also...people who bring their animals and dont monitor them are ignored by camp hosts and park employees alike. This used to be a classy campground. Its not too late to get it back to that status.

Beautiful campground, well maintained, with great facilities. Quiet and yet not too far from the Interstate. We only stayed one night but would definitely return to this campground if we are in the area in the future.

The campground was full but the host suggested we try the Y Knot Winery next door. It worked out great and the nice lady at the entry allowed us to use the campground washrooms the next morning. Thanks.

Such a fun place to camp. We enjoyed taking our camper out on its maiden voyage. This was the perfect spot. It had water and electricity. There were so many trailers to wander on and the views were beautiful. Not far from home but it felt like we were miles away. There were so many kids running around and playing. We will for sure be back!

I know they have showers in the upper unit, but not sure about the lower section.
no
Bigger trailers yes. A little small for semi trucks. Hope this helps
They have had bans on all campfires. It is best to call to see if restrictions have been lifted.
Coming from the lower campground it's on the right, as you're heading out.
Yes if you haven't already. Get your parks pass from the dmv. $10 a year. Pays for itself in 2 park visits
Yes.
It is open year around. The visitor center may be closed. The top campground is always open. The day use area is always open.
There is a boat launch area on the small lake in the Park. We have mostly seen float tubes and kayaks though.
No.
4 or 5 down by the river with a portable bathroom right out side. Each cabin has three beds.
Dogs on leash. I have 3. Also have a pet pen set up. All seems very well accepted.
Two big bunk beds. And yes on the out let's. And on the porch.
Same answer : Not the cabins themselves, but there are clean general purpose Restrooms and Showers around and nearby
There are strong undertow in the river, I would suggest going to the boat docks or the city pool to swim
You can take a chance for an open spot or you call call ahead and reserve a site. We always reserve ahead befor driving down and its one of our favorite Camp Grounds.
Take an air mattress for bed or futon. Cushions on them are VERY thin and uncomfortable, not enough to use for mattress. Cabin is cute, air conditioning appreciated as it was hot and muggy.
