I thought the vet was very caring and knowledgeable. I was just disappointed to be charged about $100 more than I'm used to for this type of visit.

Very disappointed. We have been going to Dr.Slade or (Dr.Otto,no longer here) for 25 years. Had treated,had to have put down pets due to old age. In other words we trusted. Our trust is now broken with their NEW HIGH GOUGING PRICES.No letter to advise clients so we could make an Informed choice ,no full disclosure at all.. but a hefty bill of 547.00 for the same blood work,stool,etc,in addition an antibiotic that had the same side effects that my Lhasa apso was brought in to seek help for,seizure,diarrhea, lethargy, (heart & incontinence)??!?and has killed animals,and was taken 'off the market' for quite some time ,Google it ENROFLOXACIN. I expressed my concern and they gave another antibiotic which has helped without the deadly side effects in the past.As to my shock to their doubled charges I received a very small discount off the safe antibiotic with excuses. Then I think all is done and I just received an overbearing call from a woman who was not sympathetic and obviously didn't care,only gave excuses without care or concern for my dog or my finances. She also said to find another vet..case closed. Well, since that is her attitude I will certainly take my business elsewhere and contact the proper sources. We love our pets but price gouging is morally wrong. Especially for me, senior citizen with a handicapped and Incapacitated son who is struggling to keep us safe,fed,and all my bills paid without my late husband who has passed away. Very sad when this happens to good,loyal patients/people,especially without any letter of price increases, 255 to 537 is unacceptable. Be sure to shop around. Good luck.
