The technician was fabulous. I got to my appointment for 3:15 for a 3:30 appointment. All of Sudden at 3:30 someone came in to do maintenance on the mri computer. I didn't have my mri until 4:00. Someone need not to schedule maintenance during someone's appointment.

Super friendly!!! I'm 330lbs and fit in sit down/ stand up machine comfortably. Not to noisy and I had test results on disc right away. 5star facility....

They might, but the Dr may have to be called in advance. There is no claustrophobia in an upright. I have the same problem. TV is right in front of you. Although my first time I was nervous. So if it's a head scan - is he ok being still with a cage around his head? I was - took a few min to acclimate. Otherwise maybe get his Dr to script a pill of Ativan or Xanax
You not in a tube. Your sitting in a recessed area that is snug to your legs and arms. Your front is exposed from head to toe. Your given earplugs because the machine can be loud and a panic button in case you need to speak to the technician.

Your insurance company should not differentiate between a regular MRI or the upright MRI. You can call the East Brunswick office and ask them to assist you. They can work with your doctor to obtain any necessary paperwork and verify coverage. The facility is now called ImageCare East Brunswick (they may use both names for a while).
Someone must have picked up if you have an appointment. If not, get an appointment and ask them.
