Please let me preface, the groomers are very nice and seem to really love animals, hence the large tips and 3 stars. First cut was great; rebooked with same groomer(literally clicked rebook appt link in my petsmart acct.), yet they gave us a different groomer day-of, conveniently with the same name. Only issue with first groomer is they’d failed to trim his nails, as is included in full bath and cut price, claiming he was too finicky. This was a problem on the second groom when they’d tricked us into a new groomer, and they failed to trim his nails because his “quicks were too long”. Of course they were, because they’d failed to trim them the first time. We have an 11 yr old dog who is much more calm than other dogs when being groomed. No dog in the world likes being groomed, especially not having their nails done. He’s had at least 15 different groomers (many at PetSmart locations) in the 4 cities we’ve lived in and never had an issue with nail trimming until now. If you can’t find an “expert” to do the job, watch YouTube videos and do it yourself, it’ll take longer, but it’s worked thus far and he’s much less anxious during and afterwards.
