Horrible HORRIBLE service. They do not help with issues of animal abuse or neglect. Never return phone calls or answer the phone. Animal control in Athens has been awful for way too long. So disappointed in this place. Do better- abused and neglected animals are depending on y’all.
The poser show
I got my doggy here a year ago he was the best thing to ever happen to me lol. his name was benji and on 9/13/22 he got hit by a car and passed away. thank you Clark county animal shelter for letting me have this amazing animal.

Found my “Bestie” there! Nicolette and the Whole Staff were great during the adoption process. “Modson” was a “Rescue Only” based on his lack of manners. He is a 2 year old German Shepard/Belgium Malinois. I explained my experiences with “Working Dogs” and everyone felt it was a great fit. Modson has done so well in his forever home that I wanted to bring him back to the shelter to show off his progress. The women there was so happy to see him! Thank you for all you do in taking care of these animals and setting them up with the right home!

We have a lot of female dogs at the shelter, if you go to athenspets.net you can view all the fur babies that we have, they all are looking for their forever homes.
$50 for under 6 months. $25 for over 6 months.
Absolutely ... Ask for Ashley .. they'd be happy to help.
Athens-Clarke County Animal Control does not have a vaccination clinic or a Veterinarian on staff. You can go to Pet Supplies Plus on Alps Rd the 1st Sat of each month from 1-4pm. Call Tractor Supply, Pet Sense, or PetSmart for the walk-up, no appointment needed vaccination clinics.
Or call Memorial Park Zoo take a chance at call and Sandy Creek they have animals they'll come out and get animal sometime
There is no charge to surrender animals. You just have to be a Clarke County resident and provide your driver's license with your Clarke County address during open shelter hours. Call the shelter for Holiday hours.
What kind of puppies are they
