Love the 40 Watt! It's the classic Athens venue where some of the best have graced the stage. You've got to catch a show at the 40 Watt because, well, it's the 40 Watt!

Yes, there is dancing. There's an open dance floor. For some shows, there may be a double row of tables at the back of the dance floor but you have plenty of room. The employees may even be dancing while they work lol The Bad Bunny show on Saturday will have a ton of people dancing. All music shows have plenty of room to dance, it just depends on whether the patons want to. Find some music you like, come over, and hit the floor. If you need room, we'll make sure you have it. Please come and dance.
If you left at 5, you'll arrive around 10. Definitely in time for the headliner, but it says doors at 8, so you might miss the first act.
Yes. :)
Check there callander, this Thursday is "driving and crying" doors open at 8. 25 at the door. 20 in advanced
Haha terrible. There are a number of small lots nearby, but be ready to pay $5 for the spot if one is available. There is plenty of roadside parking, the meters are free after 9pm Mon-Fri, and free on Saturday and Sunday. But be ready to walk several blocks to get to the venue if you don't show up hours early.
I disagree with T. T. You get some acts drowned out by sorority girls acting hard to be the most blonde stereotype. You get DJ rap shows, private parties, and others. Some national 80-90 type alt bands. Per month there's usually 3-4 shows worth going. Georgia theater including rooftop, Caledonia Lounge, and Little Kings offer much better music on average.
Always
