Convenient if you have household trash or little things not really the place to go for dumping alot of trash. Was jn the area helping a customer and just took pictures because the trash i had could not be dumped here.

needs more hours , it seems like every time I go up there the gates closed. Maybe some days, open up later in the morning and throw in some evening hours till 6:30 or 7:00 PM

No, no need to crush them
Plastics #1-7, cardboard, mixed paper & glass bottles/jars. Cooking oil, clothes & books donation drop box. No styrofoam or plastic bags
Not at this location. Lower Richland and caughman Rd locations. Also somewhere near Richland hospital recycles computers.
Only certain days do they have electronic collection. The best place is the City of Columbia center which is off Harden Street near the Dominion/SCEG office. They have a truck yars over there and a marked place to discard electronics. At least pre covid...
You cant dump yard waste at the recycling center. You have to take it to the county dump. If you live in the county you take it to they wont charge you anything to dump it.
Check Richland County's website for locations. I believe the Fire Station on Sparkleberry Lane has Used Oil disposal.
