This is our favorite spot. I've been to every lake in the Ozarks and many campgrounds and for families, this place is awesome. Dark and private sites but still have a playground, bathrooms and showers near. There's an island you can swim or boat to and when water is low there's a land bridge to walk to it. There's no town or houses within sight and you feel like you're in untouched lands because this portion of the lake is a wildlife conservation area. Right now this is one of the cleanest lake spots around.
chrissy winters
Really nice place ! They have a beautiful lake with clean water. You can see the bottom ! Fishing is good too. We stayed for 4 nights. We seen an armadillo at our campsite. How freakin cool is that plus we rented a pontoon only $300 for 8 hour rental camping is $22 a night. They do have one bathroom with running water and hot showers and one yucky pit toilet lol they have water spouts around the campground and a playground. Lots of rocks and cliffs for jumping in the water.

I believe that only the water is shut off, and electric is still available. There is a box by the entrance that is an honor system. You pay and put it in there with envelopes provided.
Yeah it is but water temp is 64deg an the swimming ropes are closer in
That is correct. Keep in mind you will need to take water as the faucets will be shut off for the winter ad well
The Army Corps of Engineers, but it is for the boat ramp only.
Yes I think 5 dollars at the beach but it's free to go to the fishing dock which has a good area to spend the whole day
Yes 6pm. If you get there early and someone is still there you will have to wait.
You have to go to the marina to rent a boat
Yes
18-20$ per site with up to 10 people a site.
$12 for a spot you can have 2 tents on.
If your talking Orleans trail marina it's about 20 30 min across the lake
Yes it was and they just opened up to the public yesterday which means people can book a camping site instead of a reservation they made a while back
Yes they have the beach closed
Gas station about 4 miles away.
i think we paid $18.00 a night
Well not sure when peak seasons is in but they have honor system where you can pay in a box
Chey the website..to make reservations ...yes have water and electric
no can only stay 2 weeks at a time then have to move
No full hooks at cedar ridge. Electric only. Mutton creek has full hook ups but usually more crowded
Dale's right... The campground has a host who lives/stays there at the site, near the entrance. The host cleans & maintains the campgrounds through the open camping season. There is a check-in station there at the little guard shack at the entrance where you will check in. They have regular, daily/weekly hours when the check-in station is open. If they're closed when you arrive, you just proceed to your campsite and check back in when the station re-opens.
Yes they do quite a few of them
Yes. Dogs have to be on a leash and when booking your campsite there is a place for pets you need to let them know how many you have
Yes it is. This month it is $10 / electric campsite. And $5 tent camping. There is no one running the place now it is shut down in that aspect. You can use the pay box when you come in and get your tag for your car or campsite. When you when you pay.
