I adopted Amelia Heart, Belgiam Malinois, at 4 mos old from SPCA when located in Suwanee 5 years ago. She has recently become my Service/ESA due to do being a disabled veteran. Honestly knew absolutely nothing about her breed, but did extensive research before adopting her. She has been awesome and very healthy. So easy to train and still at 5 yrs old she continues to learn new behavior. Socializing at a dog park and surfing her head out the passenger car window is her favorite pass time. I was even able to slow her barking to only purposeful barking and in doing this she doesn't bark at everything and when hanging out im the bark yard you wouldn't hear a peep from her as she was soaking up the sun. Believe me I'm far from a dog whisperer, but she has been the easiest for me to train. Found out not long ago she is allergic (Malinois known for skin allergies) to fleas and our vet took very good care of it. She has been the most loving and "protective" dog I have ever had. I grew up around many different breeds during my childhood/adult life and on a farm. I would do it all over again so please be sure to read up on the breed before adopting. Malinois need at least 3-4 hours "daily" of playtime and/or training. Thank you SPCA for all you do and if I need to adopt again I will be back, well at least in IN (hometown) as I will be moving there soon. The pics are from puppy to today and yeah she is getting a little pepper around her mouth to show her age 😃. Notice she loves to smile and pose. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Helping dogs is good .

I was trying to find a phone number for them, but they make it where everything has to be done on-line. I couldn't find a way to talk to anyone there. I used to volunteer there and we answered the phone! Very frustrating.

Very bummed to find out they are only open ONE day and only for a four hour window. Which means everyone will come during that time, which means limited time with dogs and a huge mess with crowds

Yes. Visit the website for more info.
State law is that you have to take it to your local animal shelter. Only organizations can take in animal surrenders
Nope, you have to be 15 but with a parent/guardian by it may be a possibility
16 without parent/guardian.
No they dont
They do rescue animals
Don't think so, sorry
what’s you email
Also to Bailey Thelen, please report the woman who was going to send the puppies into the woods. That would be considered animal neglect and she can get in serious trouble for doing this. I hope you were able to take the puppies away from her and give them to a shelter...??
Don't no give them a call.
They don’t “sell”, they have domestic animals for adoption.
No you have to take surrendered pets to a humane society or other shelter. Rescues can't take surrendered pets.
Contact your local county animal shelter and ask them what you need to surrender them....or you can contact planned pet hood and ask them about surrendering
Normally $250 adoption fees for a dog. A cat is less maybe $100
They are closed for renovations right now. They have been for a couple of months now.
No
Yes. Right off Sugarloaf.
Saturday they will be open for the clinic
You will get there papers but only there first round or immediate needed shots are given.
The shelter is closed for renovations until June 5,2018....they are asking that all animals be sent to Atlanta humane society in alpharetta or Atlanta
The local animal shelter or call PetSmart they have numbers for local residents who will take in pets Also depending on the type of dog you can post on Craigslist or offer up to sell them or give them away, then you would be able to see what type of person adpts them
Take her to the Gwinnett animal shelter at 884 Winder Hwy, Lawrenceville.
Try Georgia Humane Society
You can drop them off during business hours at the SPCA in the main lobby. They'll give you a tax receipt.
It is a non kill shelter and there is volunteer work that can be done at the age of 16 but i don't know how the jobs work
Hall county animal control is where they do spay/nueter
Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
Rarely, but they are usually adopted immediately.
Uh I know its late but you can volunteer but until your birthday you need a parent or someone over the age to of 18 to go with you. But you can’t walk dogs until your 18 so basically @ 16-17 you can go to the shelter by your self but u can’t walk a dog until 18
I believe you have a grave period.
