Humble the leaders in authority here father GOD for they abuse a lot of the homeless in here, or judge folks or think they can't be placed in the same situation or lose they're lives as well so I ask that you punish those spiritual leaders who are taking advantage of the homeless, sick , and lame. I am aware Judas was with Jesus so spiritually speaking I know several Judas spirits are working right at this shelter. Lack of education you can't be insecure in your manhood or try to make anyone feel less. GOD is going to curse ya'll for coming in his name too

It would be better if they teach men to be more independent instead of being codependent on each other. They won't even allow a client to go to the store that is very controlling. Then I fell some staff here think they are better than the homeless when GOD as well can humble you or take the breathe of life away from you as well.

Mr. Thomas is right. You need the salvation army. Call 611 for assistance. Also Gateway by the Garnett Marta station has many other excellent resources. Good luck tip you.
They give you three meals a day but if you are a diabetic you have to watch what you eat Atlanta Mission doesn't have special trays for you. The Mission have a program that will help you get on your feet and start over again
They do intake around 4:30 pm till 6:00 pm , but spots fill up quickly. Your given 21 day's free which you must be there every night.
My apologies. I don't know I was only dropping off donations. You may try calling or stopping by. The staff seemed nice and helpful. I pray the best for you. May this be one of the best years of your life.
Hi Christopher. Thanks so much for reaching out. You are able to stay at The Shepherd's Inn without ID at first. You'd be given an initial timeframe to work with our outside partners to receive an ID. For more information about requirements to receive services at The Shepherd's Inn, please visit https://atlantamission.org/get-help/.
Yes we do!
If you're getting dropped off at Civic Center train station in downtown Atlanta is two blocks away or three blocks
Rehab programs yes
@Pam Shore They will but you have to put them in a room for safekeeping.
Yes they can,but you have to enter on the appointed intake days of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 8:00-11:30 am.
Well that's something your son has to do on his own.
Nope
Atlanta Mission downtown
There's multiple local shelters in Atlanta with long term stay, salvation army redshields 469 Marrietta st, atlanta Union mission 156 mills street. Gateway 275 pryor it depends on where you think is best for you, but they all provide multiple services besides a bed.
Well Atlanta mission doesn't help on finding you place
There's many blessings available. Yes
They don't do pick ups but what you can do is go to your city and you can ask for places that help with travel if you're stranded what you do is you tell them you're homeless and you're trying to get back home to Atlanta and they should give you a one-way bus ticket but you have to see if there's available for homeless people and whatever City you're in for transportation
Does this answer still hold true today? And if so what are the donation hours?
They can't get you an ID but you can go to crossroad at 420 Courtland st NW they would help you get an ID
You can go to the gateway right by the Garnett MARTA station tonight. Or salvation army at Marietta St & Mill. Good luck may GOD be with you.
Overflow tonight beds almost gone
Men only. My Sisters House is for women and children.
Call the women's shelter
You have to call, them time is different because of cold weather
No, it's a man's only shelter. If you have children, My Sister's House shelter may accommodate or you can try the Salvation Army
well male only married is fine. thru don't allow females. Also beware they have what I consider a somewhat heavy Chrustian lean.
I DON'T think kids are allowed BUT maybe they can give you a number for a place that will. Call them THEY are helpful
Try the salvation army 30 days free then you have too pay
No they can not
Only men are accepted no children.
Yes you can.
Would they work with me because i work from 11pm to 7am
Yes
Atlanta mission has women's shelter and then there is also a place called nNspire outreach in Lawrenceville Georgia that is an amazing place as well
That's a question better answer in person. Because it would take to much time explaining texting. There's to many variables. Sorry.
You have to be up there before 6 in the morning Monday through Friday to get accepted
Unfortunately that would separate you guys cuz I really don't have any shelters that run from men and women in Atlanta so your best bet is to go to Gateway to get some extra information
The staff will be able to help you find and get a apartment.
Actually at the Atlanta Mission intake starts at 7:30 Monday though Friday and no intake Saturday,Sunday and Holidays
Yes
I would call the Atlanta Union Mission 404 369 7916
PARK ON THE STREET AT YOUR OWN RISK. THEY HAVE BUNK BEDS AND SHOWERS BRING SOME SLIPPERS/ SHOWER SHOES TO SHOWER IN. THEY HAVE A GOOD STAFF AND RESOURCES TO HELP. IF ONE IS LOOKING TO HELP ONESELF. MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU
They had overnight lockers for temporary use while I was there 2 years ago.
They always have room. Sometimes people get kicked out for 6 months due to violations or take manditory showers... The place is beneficial if you apply yourself, but it's also a bunch bs there with the staff and the people that are there
Atlanta Union Mission is only for men but they do have a women's and child center called my sister house I don't know anywhere that men and women and children stay together
It on a Monday through Friday I think it's at 6 in the morning
Hi Destiny. The Shepherd's Inn is a facility for men. We do have a women's shelter campus called My Sister's House in midtown Atlanta. If you're interested, visit https://atlantamission.org/get-help for more information.
Unless they can make money from you the Atlanta Mission isn't interested in helping you in any way... Sorry
The Atlanta Mission is located at... 165 Ivan Allen Jr Blvd, Atlanta GA, 30313. He has to there early to get a bed. 7am and line up on Lovejoy St which is in front of the mission. Hope that helps. God blesss
Hi Yolanda, we have many that we serve with mental health issues. When an individual comes to Atlanta Mission seeking services, our staff spend time with them, evaluating what their needs are. If we have bed capacity and would be the best place for them, we offer long-term services including counseling. --- Hi Yolanda, this is not letting us post a new response. The police are actually out patrolling in City of Atlanta on nights when it's this cold, helping people get to warming shelters. I'm not sure how they function in Alpharetta. We do send our vans out to downtown Atlanta bridges and parks when there are frigid temperatures out, but we are not able to head out to Alpharetta.
What do you need to know
No
The mission has a full kitchen with donated food with staff to cook it. Warm blankets or uncooked food would probably be more appreciated.
How long will it take
Yes, you can work Have to get a pass in the mornings or at night
Go on-line and look for rooming houses in a specific area.

They don't have intake on the weekends but you can be there Monday morning at 6:37 or 7 but if it gets cold enough they will let you in
Yes at 4;30 pm and you have to be there on time , bcuz they only allow 80 people who shelter.
Its a men's shelter
Atlanta union mission on ivan Allen is potentially indefinite stay. Avoid peter street at all costs. Salvation army and gateway can help. Since you are 22, covenant house is also an option.
You have to be at the Atlanta mission at 630 am to find out if there's a bed available.
It is on a first come first serve basis, the will help you with referrals for employment.
No for males only
You show up at 700am monday thru Friday to sign up for a bed.
