Food here is disgusting 🤢 and they serve the clients old food i uses to work here never will i work for a place like this the staff are rude they talk about people and treat those people like animals then had the nerve to blame security for staff getting jumped on sad .. they always listen to their clients even when they are lieing on staff i hope they close this place down
Amber
Staff here is useless and fake. Wish I had somewhere else to go.

If u have a job or plan on work or goal they will deny you which is beyond crazy staff nice but shelter requirements are ridiculous. This y so many women and children are on the street
Jasmine Armanii
As far as remodeling goes.. it looks very nice but the staff are very rude and will write you up for almost anything. The food is horrible, sometimes uncooked and other times had bugs or either cold. Everyone here has a attitude, nobody is positive in this shelter. I do not recommend. This is a jail!

You can definitely drop them off, and the ladies would definitely appreciate your generous gifts.

Yes. They will take them. But they have to be in season(🍂 and winter) M-F 10 am to 330pm Make sure they are in bags to make the donation more pliable for the outside bins. They can give you a receipt for your taxes if needed.
Its a first come, first serve, no guarantee type facility. If they are turned away, its because they have not updated the bed check to see who is still there.. Be at ADS before 7 am and you will see the difference at 815...
It's a Day Shelter so it's closed at night. You have access to many resources such as the computer lab, clothing closet, showers, laundry facilities, etc. You can request a shelter bed for a night shelter if you need one. If one is available, an eligibility screening will be done.

You can contact The Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children. The number is online. If you can not get someone on the phone go in person and talk with them about your event.
As long as the toys are, yes. Clothes have to be in bags. But yes, bring them in.
You have to be at the day shelter by 7am to get a bed. Intake starts at 815
What the ladies are trying to convey is that if you give it to the shelter, it is distributed in the once a month hygiene bag. Therefore, it would get to those in need either way, but, giving directly to the ladies is the best way
Yes mam! Very appriciated and needed. You can drop off at Ethel Street day Shelter or bring them to my sisters house, the actual shelter
There is an Atlanta Mission Truck that deliver to it's own shelter but unclear on does it branch out to other locations. Can call to check but sure it does not do residential pick-up. Thanks

It's best to come to the location if you seeking help because they are very busy assistance women with checking in to receive service, answering questions, assigning beds when available, accounting for how many will be eating lunch with them that day.
Both. You have to show up at the Atlanta Day Shelter EARLY! (Like 7am) Beds go fast at 815am.
