Fountains Southend

I lived at Fountains for 1 year. Upon looking into Southend apartments, Fountains was the cheapest and was offering a move in discount. However, when I inquired about the discount I was told they were not offering that anymore and not sure why that was still up on the website. After moving in, I had a roach issue despite the apartment being clean upon move in. After inquiring through email about what was done to treat this issue since I was out of town, I was told I needed to evaluate my own cleanliness habits. Later, during the time of a system update, my online payments were suspended. I was not given any reason why and was told repeatedly this was due to the system update. Finally when I asked to be guided on the computer, it was discovered due to my NSF’s my online payment privileges were revoked. This was fair to me, but nobody had communicated this to me. Even the community manager said he was not aware. Since the office opens at 9 am, I brought payment at 9 but was told it was late being that it was 9:05. As months went on the community became more militant for some reason, like removing drop boxes for paper payment, then adding additional fees to paper payment even though it was now mandatory for me. At the end of my lease, my base rent went from $1,450 to $2,090 to renew my lease not including fees. The changes done to my apartment during my lease were changed a/c unit and changed door locks. Fountains Southend is located in a beautiful area in Southend and the location is phenomenal. In my personal living experience however I did not enjoy it and do not recommend living here, especially now that the price is comparable to surrounding brand new apartments despite it being the oldest on the trail with minimal enhancements.

We absolutely love Fountains Southend. The apartment was super clean when we moved in, we have everything we need right here, and the staff is super friendly. Blake has been especially welcoming, and to be honest, is the main reason we decided to go with this apartment community after touring about a dozen. He is so pleasant and always has dog treats in his pockets, so our dogs are especially happy here!

What an amazing experience with Blake today. He is an excellent representative for this building. We had plans to go see a few more after this but the Fountains hit all the right notches which made it easy to pull the trigger and decide. All our questions were answered quickly and honestly so we are now looking forward to moving in soon. Very excited!
