Oil fill cap was not replaced after a recent oil change. This caused oil to spray all over the engine compartment and under the hood. Luckily I found the issue within the first 50 miles of driving so hopefully have avoided engine damage. Morrie's redid the oil change and did a mediocre job of cleaning the engine compartment. Still smells like burning oil when I drive which hopefully resolves as the remaining oil burns off the block and exhaust. Under hood insulation also is stained. Dealership says they cleaned it but that also could be contributing to the oil smell when driving. Mistakes will happen, but their service recovery means I will be using a different dealership for service and purchases.
