Hotel is fine…typical hospital hotel in my opinion. Updated, but not terribly recently. Everything is in fine shape. The gym is god awful hot and humid. My big problem is that the person at the front desk just gave me room keys without seeing my Drivers License or cc. I did do the online checkin, but they always ask for drivers license regardless at Marriott. Next, I accidentally locked my hotel keys in the gym. When I went down, they asked what room I was in, they didn’t confirm last name, last 4 of cc, anything! I could’ve said anyones room and I would had access. I didn’t love that.

Overpriced, understaffed and in need of a reno. The only thing good about this place is the location. Great to come down the elevator right into the subway outside of Mayo. But it stops there. Only valet parking for $25 a night. They tell you to call down for your car, which we did, but nobody left the lobby to pick it up until we were standing there. Claimed they were busy. No other customers in the lobby and two valets. I don't think so! That was basically the gist of the stay. Over promise and under deliver. We paid $265 for a concierge level room only to find out it was not on the concierge floor and our window was overlooking the air vents over the indoor pool. The tub must clog as the drain was pulled out and laying on it's side - gross! Every time we called downstairs nobody answered and we had to call multiple times. Almost as bad as the Kahler!

Excellent hotel for those visiting the Rochester area, especially for those who are going for the Mayo Clinic. This hotel is centrally located and accessible via both the subway and skyway systems in Rochester. All Mayo Clinic buildings are easily reached through these enclosed passageways making moving around the city from the hotel very easy at all times of the year. There are also many nearby restaurants that can be reached this way as well. The hotel also has its own restaurant and bar for ultimate simplicity. Staff is friendly and professional and willing to help. Valet parking is available. Mini market on site for 24/7 necessities.

I want to give a shout out to Filly. She works at the front desk and is amazing. We have stayed here twice and I was very impressed with her positive energy and interactions with guests. She really is the epitome of customer service. Disclosure, I am not related to her, nor do I know her personally outside the hotel.i hope that management know what an asset she is. As for the hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The elevators and other common areas are also impeccable. I have also had many positive interactions with staff. They were so welcoming and warm. I felt a true sense of compassion. The easy access to the Mayo Clinics is a HUGE benefit. There are many restaurants within walking distance. If you are here in the summer time,they have a cool street fest with live music and beer tents. It is literally just outside the lobby level doors. The only downside is that they don't have microwaves in the rooms and the mini fridge is SMALL. I hope management looks at this because if you are here for any extended time, you need a microwave. When I had my surgery I booked at a different hotel because of this. I wanted my husband to be able to store and reheat food. Overall, this is a wonderful and welcoming place to stay. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
