Moving to Lofts at Brooklyn was an amazing decision and grateful given the opportunity. With that being said, being a victim of domestic violence I have been giving the notice of non renewal because I believe the decisions of me calling the police for protection against my abuser made the leadership of Lofts at Brooklyn unkind and unjust to me. I understand keeping the “value” and the “look” to a degree but real life issues are a constant threat to all of us and we should not be judged or discriminated based on how we handle these things. I now am being evicted and it’s scary because it’s unjust. I love where I live and love my neighbors and should be able to continue living here happily and away from the threat of any life situation because I honestly feel some what safe here away from my abuser.

Miserable staying here with an upstairs neighbor that is VERY inconsiderate with her child running back n forth every day and with poor building material you hear EVERYTHING. Otherwise, my only complaint is not having full access to building entry with my key card, which has been an issue for over a month now.

Tone deaf management… also for whom it may concern, the property manager (miss. Youngblood) has direct ties to a pastor here in jacksonville known for being extremely racist (it’s her father) so it’s no surprise she herself is bigoted. Don’t give these money hungry folks from mandarin a dime, and take back our community.
