Nice find we stopped for a lunch break back by the campground. Campground near the water some sites where on the shoreline. Spoke to a regular fisherman there said good pike fishing in the lake and multiple species down by the dam.

My 5 nights started on a Friday. It wasn't a great start.. Rustic camping shouldn't have anything to do with rustic generators. Also, the weather turned. Let's skip ahead to Sunday. Once the locals, their screaming kids, generators and poor weather left, this was the most relaxing few days I've had at a rustic spot. GREAT kayak fishing. I have a hound who likes to keep an eye on me, otherwise I can't go in the water. I could be out for hours here and because the camp site was literally at the waters edge, life was good for us. He could keep tabs while lounging in the camper. The pike fishing was a BIG surprise as well as the size of the sunnies. (Gotta hit that hole past site 47). To be honest, I never even visited the new dam because i was so content hanging out on my site. I'm home now and should have stayed another week. -site 46 and 47

Great place to hang out with family & freinds but make sure you have water shoes on.

They are first come first serve. Noone could tell you without being there if campsites are open
This place is amazing for rustic camping. Beautiful sights. If your worried about power bring a generator. If not you don't need it. There's water and bathrooms We camp here very often!
Water still low, gates full open. Boat launch dock high and dry. Work supposed to begin again this fall (2020). Deadstream flooding not nearly as flooded as it used to be.
Theres alot of log jams starting from reedsburg. We usually put in at Jeff's road.
You can get down there ( by run off) if you want to. That water does come over the new spillway at a pretty good clip though
