Enjoyed our quick stay here! Bathrooms were clean site was clean and check in was fast and friendly! Felt safe staying in our SUV. Being so close to the beach was a plus! The view of The Mackinaw Bridge was excellent!

We picked site #79A. This was a site along the beach. We loved this site. The beach was steps away. We had a great view of the bridge. The bath house must have recently been renovated. It was beautiful! They had a kitchen sink for washing dishes, nicely done shower rooms, and clean modern toilets. The beach here is nice. In mid July and Lake Huron was still very cold. Thank you Straits SP! You’ve exceeded all expectations. Only negative was the trucks Jake braking.

This is a really nice state park. If you plan to camp, keep in mind that it can be quite difficult to get into. The best part of this state park is the magnificent view of the Mackinac Bridge. The swim area will provide you with that great view. Another positive to this park is that you are not far from the market in St. Ignace. You are literally in walking distance. So everything that you need is right there. One bad thing though is that the beach is somewhat rocky. You need to swim out a little to pass the rockiness. The picnic area of this state park is quite nice. I remember cooking breakfast in this area a couple of years back. Overall, this park is nice. It does fill up quicky though. The view of the bridge adds quite a bit to the experience, even though the beach is quite rocky.

One of the nicer Michigan State Campgrounds I've been to. Very clean and organized sites and facilities. Beautiful walking trails with scenic lookout points. Breathtaking views of the Mackinaw Bridge, and the gorgeous water that surrounds it. Close proximity to a supermarket and downtown St. Ignace, where you will find all sorts of restaurants, shopping, and ferry's that take you over to Mackinac Island.

The state campground website is very helpful. Nice campground, great location, pit toilets and no showers part of the year.

Yes but only a few and they are super small.
Electrical only at some sites. No water or sewer sites. There is a dump station with water fill.
Yes. They are available for bike rides, they arent labeled very well to know where to start
It's $30 per night for tent camping. Here's the site to look up availability: www.midnrreservations.com/
You will pay per site, not per tent so it will depend on how large the tents are.
Just Electric, there are water filling stations though out the campgrounds
Camping Rates: 20-30AMP – $30/night 20-30-50AMP – $34/night No-electric sites – $22/night 2 Mini Cabins Available for Rental – $52/night This was on their website
No horses. Check the nearby national forest campgrounds
I don't think you can, better call ahead to make arrangements.
