The state campground website is very helpful. Nice campground, great location, pit toilets and no showers part of the year.

Most MI state parks have a 2 tent per site limit for standard camp sites. Group camping varies a lot, from my understanding.
Not sure about an area specifically but as a general rule I believe they allow 2 tents for a related family in most state parks. Contact dnr state parks directly for that kind of information.
There are two organizational campgrounds. Check with the staff for qualifications.
