Had a wonderful experience with my wife. Make sure to get your tickets from the hotel you are staying at or online. They are cheaper. Also, arrive at the dock about an hour early. It can get super busy.

We had a great experience on the way to the Island. Took a little ride under the Mackinac Bridge. Which was a first for us. On the way back we had the same captain. We asked if the kids could get a picture. She said certainly, would you like take a seat. The kids just loved it. Thank you for making our day. 😀

Accepted the ferry experience is great. But the management is worst. People are standing in lines for hours at one of the Ramp (Ramp1/2,.). And then suddenly a new cruise/ferry comes up at different Ramp/s. Rear people goes 1st and there is a lot of juggling around. Not 1st come 1st serve. ones standing in lines for hours have to wait for hours. Management should do a better job.

Great ride and very reasonable, the under the bridge rides are pretty good. If you want friendly staff, affordable tickets, and a reliable ride this is it. Also, multi day passes can’t be beat!

Online for any time in the 2019 season, it is $25 for adult, and $14 for those under 13. At the gate, they are $27 and $15 respectively. You can take your bike to ride in the island for $14.

Are you talking about the Mackinaw City or the St.Ignace location? Both have handicapped parking near their departure piers.
They do have boats that run to and from both locations with the island. But they recently upgraded the tickets to digital barcodes. You may need to buy a special ticket or possibly trade one in for the other dock site. I would hate for you to be stranded at the wrong dock because they couldn't scan your ticket. Please also note you must start crossing the bridge by 10am & its 5miles. You will also have to find a way to get from the dock to the bridge. This would normally be easy just ask the shuttle to drop you off there but they may be unable to due to the large volume of people doing the same thing. Sheplers is offering service from Mackinaw city to st. Ignace this year for the cost of a round trip ticket. They were going to offer shuttle service from the dock to the bridge buy have just released a statement saying they will be altering that plan and may have to shuttle to the bay area bus to make it to the bridge. You can do it but have a plan B and good luck have fun and be safe!

When ever I go to Mackinac City I always go to the Star Line to get a schedule and my tickets . I buy a 3 day pass . The are less then if you pay every day. Check on line as well . You should also check with the hotel you are staying at. They have discounts for the ferry

Tons of different free parking. Just pull right in to the lot and they will tell you your choice of free or pay and give directions and send a free shuttle to pick you up
