You definitely get what you pay for here. The rate per night is pretty cheap and the hotel is about 20 mins from downtown Savannah. Check in was easy and fast but most of the staff (not cleaning staff) was not very friendly. In fact they mostly walk around starring at you which is quite uncomfortable and makes you feel like you’re doing something wrong. The elevator constantly smelled of weed as well. The rooms were very spacious which was a plus. The furniture is pretty outdated and our couch had stains on it so we never sat on it. The bed was clean though and so was the bathroom. The tub could use fresh re-caulking though. The breakfast was pretty pitiful. It consisted of yogurt, danishes, break, microwaveable breakfast sandwich, apples, coffee and juice. I guess it’s better than nothing but I was hoping for a hot breakfast. The pool was nice as well. A little crowded at times, but it was nice.

Positive: I liked most that it exceeded my expectations. The rate was considerably cheaper than surrounding hotels so I was expecting to get what I payed for. But, I received good service at a great rate with a clean room! Negative: The only qualm I had was not so much the hotel but guest. For some reason, guest were in and out of the room all through the night slamming doors. It was worse the first night but not as bad the following two nights.

We stayed at this hotel because we had no place to go after driving several hours in the day and our other preferred hotel was over booked/double booked. We checked in to the hotel checked the room(s), the first room the shower was dirty. Went to the first desk and asked to be switched to a different room, the next room we were placed in was ALSO dirty. The sheets and comforter on one of the beds was stained and the toilet looked like it had been used minutes prior. Went downstairs for another room again, and this room was given to us by the lady that worked the front desk because she said she cleaned it herself… This room was also dirty, and at this point we asked for cleaning supplies just to a wipe down because we are exhausted and they said it’s just stained… As we come back from the store because we had to get ACTUAL cleaning supplies because all we were given was mirror cleaner and a rag. We cleaned the shower “stain” with ease. The mildew/filth came up with ease. I went to the desk and ask for a discount on the room since we had to do house keeping’s job on something Navil Patel claimed was just a stain, and he refused because he said the rooms are just “like that”, and we “should’ve just left after we seen the rooms as dirty”. Yes we should have just left, trust me we are upset we are stuck here at 1 am, but the hotel should AT LEAST clean their rooms.

Positive: The hotel itself was nice The best part of our staff experience was Ms. Betty and a younger gentleman that worked the front desk on night shift Negative: We had to deal with some racial tension from certain staff members. Why? I have no clue. We existed as quietly as we did when we arrived. We were in town to celebrate our anniversary so that experience tainted this somewhat for me.

Its a 15-20 min drive, with some traffic, to get to downtown and park.
Some tours are available according to their web site. I would call the hotel to see which ones.
