We stayed here for almost 2 weeks and the residents were very helpful and nice. The people who run the resort not very helpful. I tried to call them to help us us with the cable connection and had to call 6 times before I could ever get help. I went to the office and went in and a boy was at the desk. He didn’t even acknowledge that I was there and finally I said do you work here and he said yes. I asked him if he could tell me something about the laundry and he said I don’t know you’ll have to go to the yellow building, not being familiar with the place I had no idea where it was. He didn’t even try to help me. I finally found a man who worked there and asked him and he said he had no idea. I have never stayed in such an unwelcoming rv park. We had our pass in the car window and some man chased us down because he didn’t see us and he had a gun on his hip. We won’t be back.

So sad. I have an emergency at home and asked to push my reservation for a couple of weeks. No flexibility or empathy. The woman who answered the phone blamed the policy on the owners. I hope a new reservation system comes in and someone new to answer the phone. They now keep half of my reservation and I’m looking for a new place to stay.

Police were called out for trespassing after we had stayed for four nights. We bought firewood and they delivered it to our campsite. The owner said we had to leave Because we had a pop out. I told him I preferred to stay for the remainder of our reservation, which was only two more days My wife and both my kids were there when the cops showed up. I was in disbelief at first, but the cops reluctantly told me if he said we had to leave and I didn’t, they would have to take me to jail. (Unbelievable) THE OWNER HAS NO CLASS!!!

Our family stayed at this RV resort for four days with our hybrid camper. On the fifth day the owner told us we needed to pack up and leave because of our Pop out beds. We offered to put in our beds if we could stay the remainder of our trip. We were told no and that we needed to leave right away. The owner called the police and asked them to arrest us if we did not leave right away. All over a pop out bed!! We could not believe that we were uprooted in the middle of our vacation and that he made a scene by calling the police. We have a very nice camper. See hybrid pic below. My kids were very disappointed.

We stayed for 2 weeks this summer and called to make a reservation for new year’s and got told the same thing. I love the campground but hate that they’ve start doing this. They said it had something to do with by laws that were set in place in the 80’s but for some reason the ordinances don’t apply to RV’s or lot owners
Oh wait. It gets better... can't bring my 5th wheel. But I can bring a horse trailer with living quarters... yeah.. been staying here for 6 years.. so. It's sad they would rather have a damn old horse trailer than our campers.. no offense to horse trailer owners. But it's just the point of the mater
The managers are the ones wanting the change...the owners association is against it
It could be possible this time of the year. Once you get there you drive a golf cart and select one of the available sites. Luck of the draw.
They have spaces to acomodate your rig, but like someone suggested, call them and make reservations, the place is very nice and I'm sure you'll have a great time like we did.
There's only 2 pools that are heated on HHI. They are the Mariott and the Westin unless it's a private residence.
They have a large variety of size spaces. Would suggest a call to main office for accurate site sizes.
Not going to be a problem there!
We saw plenty of them while we were there and no signs stating they were not allowed.
Yes. No.
lunch and dinner with no outside seating. Closed Monday.
Probably pretty good chance
There are pull through sites as well as pull in sites that are lakefront.
Ok, it appears the responses you have received so far have come from some snobby people. To have a restaurant at a RV resort is a step up from the norm. We enjoyed the fact that we could dress up a bit, not have to drive, and enjoyed a very nice dinner overlooking the water. Yes, it was priced a bit higher than regular chain restaurants, but the food was good, the staff attentive and accommodating, and we had a very nice and relaxing evening. Remember, you treat others as you would like to be treated and you get what you pay for.
Multiple sites for sale in the resort. Visit the website www.hhimotorcoachresort.com/own/
One is heated, one is not. The heated pool also has a hot tub beside it. However, since the sites are privately owned, it is up to the HOA to determine when to turn on the heater for the pool. Hot tub is GREAT, BTW!
Check in at 10 AM, check out noon
You cannot camp here in a tent or in a travel trailer or in a 5th wheel, they are discriminatory and do not allow anything with a slide out, except class A rigs.
10 minute drive and there's some parking
Yes, and there is no additional charge, unlike many rv parks.
These are our coldest months. 60s for the highs 40s for the lowest typical
