Excellent hotel experience!!! First and foremost, Maxwell is a RockStar!!! Without a doubt a people person and what every hospitality industry organization should strive for when hiring employee's. I hope and pray that he is taken care of as all excellent employee's should be. His communication skills are spot on. He engages with the guests and his fellow employees and speaks to all with respect and kindness. He is genuinely concerned about his guests and the condition of his hotel. Samantha, she is another RockStar!!! Very courteous and engaging. Hotel rooms were perfect. This hotel is making it work with what they have available for staff and it is great. I travel quite a bit and all you hear is "short staffed", "excuse", "excuse"...not here. Not sure what folks that gave 3-stars and below saw or experienced, but it is not evidenced now. Breakfast in the A.M. is wonderful. Hot coffee, a large variety of choices from dairy, juice, fruits, grains, eggs, breads, pastries and of course, COFFEE!!! Very clean fitness area and generally a clean hotel. Large lobby/reception area for hanging out. Parking is surprisingly easy to get in and out if in this tight college town. Thank you for a wonderful stay. If and when I am in Athens, I will give you my business!

Positive: Breakfast was great. The lobby area had plenty of seating to have friends visit us for dinner and visiting. Negative: I did not know that I would have to pay for daily parking. Also, my kids were looking forward to the pool and it years closed for the season.

Excellent stay! We were only there for one night but honestly I could probably live there and be happy. The room (214) was clean and just spacious enough. The bed was comfortable, king size pillows, sheets felt soft too. The shower was so good I didn't want to get out, great water pressure! I like the full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash they have in the shower too. Check in was quick and the gentleman was pleasant. We met Leigh and Joy when checking out and they were so friendly. Honestly I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else next time I'm in Athens. I was relectant to stay at Holiday Inn Express because of a less than good experience in another city but this location is excellent! 👌

Hotel looks older, but the soundproofing is wonderful. Our room was right next to the elevator, but we didn't hear them once. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We met some friends in the lobby for pizza and there were plenty of comfortable sitting areas.

Sandi Miller, Thank you for reaching out. The building was built in 1971 and converted into a Holiday Inn Express in 1998. We recently did a full remodel, reopening in July 2019. Since the remodel, we have won consecutive awards with IHG for Overall Guest Satisfaction, Cleanliness, and Service. We are ranked in the top 10% of all the Holiday Inn Express brand hotels in North America. We look forward to hosting you and exceeding your expectations here in the Classic City.
