Great course for big hitters. Wide fairways and just a beautiful course. Greens are being worked on but if you go in knowing that you can have a great round. Well worth it!

I recently took advantage of River Bend Country Club anniversary membership drive promotion, and I’m so glad I did. Having just moved to the area and not knowing anyone, I was looking for a venue to meet new people and forge friendships. I felt I hit a home run at New Bern Country Club, from the staff, to the 18 hole men’s group, I have been embraced and made to feel like one of the guys, very rare these days. The golf course, is making a comeback from a terrible hurricane a few years back. Larry Goodwin and staff are making progress daily. “Business is sensitive, it goes where it is welcomed, and stays where it is well treated”. That’s how I feel about the golf club and the members I have had the pleasure to meet and play golf with. River Bend Country Club, truly a ground floor value.

Still good prices. Fairways & greens better every week, though some roughs are still ROUGH. The head groundskeeper is doing his best despite his own personal difficulties. Pray, as I do, for him & his wife. I've enjoyed every outing there.

The staff members were excellent. The golf course is tucked away in the neighborhood and with a little bit of work and getting the greens back into shape it would be an excellent course. I rated it three out of five only because of the shape of the greens.
