Absolutely the worst experience! The big name hospital could care less about its patients and staff!! We arrived by AMBULANCE and still waited 3 hours before seeing a doctor!! My 2 year old came in for seizure and I saw three billing personal before I saw even a doctor!! When we arrived they first initiated check-in, but they were more worried about getting the billing information than they were helping my son. I’m sure it’s protocol and not on that staff member, but that needs to be changed. Not priority! EMS had to remove my son from the stretcher to leave. I’m left standing there holding my screaming toddler with 101 fever just coming off an ambulance and having to giving my billing info to 2 different people. My 2 year old came in for a seizure and I saw three billing personal before I saw even a doctor! As a mother that just came off an ambulance and is obviously very shaken up from seeing their 2 year old pale, gray lips, eyes rolled in the back of their head, stiff as a board, lifeless, etc. they bring you in and just start to give you multiple directions instead of assisting or offering to help or guide to where we were going. Im trying to hold my screaming toddler his shoes, his shirt, my phone, etc. and sign the billing form. We walked into the secondary waiting room there was no staff. We waited 16 minutes before someone come out of the secondary waiting room and by that time my toddler was still screaming and running 101 fever freaking out. When I finally saw someone I stated, “I just came off the ambulance I’m not sure where to go” she stated just to sit down. Uh…… we literally just got off an ambulance. We waited another 10 minutes as my toddler is running a fever and screaming before the nurse swabbed him and finally gave some Motrin. We waited another 3 hours before we saw the doctor. I saw another billing person before I saw the doctor. The waiting room is ridiculous already, but the patient room is worst! There is absolutely nothing in there for a child to stay occupied. I’ve been waiting off the AMBULANCE for three + hours. My child is starving, thirsty, extremely tired, ready to go and they don’t even have shapes, or different color paint to help just have children look at. It’s a CHILDRENS HOSPITAL! I get because of COVID you can’t have toys, but at least paint the darn walls so they can look at something, have a freaking tv or 2 for the waiting room on, get multiple vending machines that take card, I mean they don’t even have space to charge phones. The charging station is broken. It’s 2022! Did we get seen, yes, after hours of waiting and freaking out on the ambulance. The experience was horrible. It was not clean. There patient room had no paper on the bed and appeared to have not been wiped down, they don’t even have alcohol pads in the back when the nurse had to take off the 4 stickers from EMS. If this hospital cared about patients they would listen to their staff and get them the resources they needed to make it better. The staff members obviously are short and they know what is needed to make a better process for patients. It looks like the big name hospital could care less about helping their staff and it shows to their patients.

I took my daughter and waiting time is 8 hrs to see d doctor in ER , the process is really slow in each n every department . Don’t recommend

This hospital is an embarrassment to children’s care. My 3 year old granddaughter has been in the WAITING ROOM for 10 HOURS!!! She was brought in after having a seizure, temperature of 103, blue lips, pale skin. DO NOT BRING YOUR SICK CHILD HERE! Anywhere is better!

This particular ED seems to have issues with staffing and extraordinarily long wait times. Lacerations waiting to be seen for 5 to 9 hours. It’s really concerning when your child cannot be seen, and we were told that she needed to be seen at the ER within 6 hours. Others have been waiting 8+ hours and decided to leave without being seen. This is a real shame.
