Not only did this place not notify myself or my mother of my aunt being sent to the hospital, but they didn’t even know she was there in the first place!!! This place is an absolute joke. My aunt went into the hospital on May 4th, and we didn’t even know about it until we called Braemar to speak to her on May 12th!

My 2 87 yr old parents entered Braemar on Dec. 7 2020. There was an extensive process to bring them in because mother was medicaid and father was private pay. Yes Covid made it all the more complicated. Braemar required physicals and their extensive forms to be completed by physician. Then Braemar had their nurse administrator review the physician info and do a zoom meeting to assess my parents. They were accepted to move in. Braemar could take care of them, so we were told. My mother required alot of care. Had dementia and was a fall risk. Her Dr. was very explicit in explaining her needs and care requirements. Braemar assessed and said they could take her in and provide care. Dad was pretty self sufficient. The day we dropped them off, the new nurse administrator and the admissions person were already talking about long term care for mom! The day we brought them there! They were barely in the door. The emotional turmoil they caused is inexcusable. ThEy called practically every day to tell us how much care mom required. As if no one ever read her physicians forms. By week 2 they sent her to the hospital for dehydration and from there she went into a nursing home. Braemar was the most awful experience. During all of this they never even had a social worker speak to any of us. My father watched EMTs roll my mother away and no one ever came and spoke to him!! It was horrible!!!!! They took them because my dad was private pay and they saw dollar signs! Do not put your loved ones here ever!!!

Absolutely NOT a place for memory impaired clients. They tell you you are a “good fit” but leave them out of all activities and have you sit in your room. Clients have to navigate through a crowded dining area and never asked to participate in anything. If you get sick, you are in trouble unless you have family member there every day and sometimes twice a day. If you are looking for independent place that accepts Medicaid, this is the place for you.The folks in the PT dept were good and most aides were very nice HOWEVER the so called medical staff is sub par and just techs. The head nurse is dismissive and fake. My loved one had such a bad infection that she needed up in hospital for 8 days with us telling them to please have her looked at. We finally had to call ambulance . We never returned there.
