I've had so many wonderful experiences at Geva but my #1 will always be going to their A Christmas Story performance! I was just a child and I sat in an aisle seat. When the performance was over and the actors walked down the aisles the man who played Scrooge slowed down to shake my hand. As a child just witnessing the magic of theatre, that was like having my hand shook by Father Christmas! πβ€οΈ That was the start of my love for theatre and I still go every year that I'm able to. 5/5 doesn't do them justice. Geva theatre isn't just in the business of theatre, they're in the business of making dreams.

This was my first time going to this theater. It was nice, very easy to find your seats.

We enjoyed the marvelous production of Jane Eyre on 9.21. Congrats to Gevaβs new Artistic Director Elizabeth Williamson for an outstanding debut production. We look forward to the 50th Anniversary season.

Jane Eyre was very well done. Not disappointed at all!

Hi, Barb. Thanks for your question. The run-time for "Airness" is approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes, including one intermission.
Yes! Company closed out our 2011-2012 season.
No idea, Geva has been very good about swapping tickets for performance dates
You'll have to email that to the Geva customer support
I think it would be better to go to the website. But I did see it on Sunday night and it wasn't full. They also had the screens out in the lobby showing local holocaust survivors with some info. It was interesting.
Hi Barb, you can find complete information about our up-to-date safety policies at GevaTheatre.org/covid-safety. We do accept negative tests from those unable to be vaccinated. The types of acceptable proof are explained there. Hope to see you soon at Geva!
We arrived an hour early. Plenty of seats right up to start of show.
Visit our website for all the info on our shows. the comedy, SLOW FOOD begins on January 14.
No. Not necessary. We usually arrive 2 hrs before performance, eat and drink, and then attend prologue, which is a 30 minute Geva-led discussion about the performance. That leaves another 30 minutes before the play begins. If you're not into prologue, plan to arrive 90 minutes before the play begins.
We have done the following one-woman shows in the past few years. MOTHER AND ME, STRANDED ON EARTH, and THE ROAD TO WHERE. Are any of these what you're thinking?
The Magician Prospero and his daughter Miranda dazzle their audiences until the day Miranda quits.Β This funny bittersweet play dives deep into the ups and downs of a father-daughter relationship.
We had a two-ticket certificate special for $80 that expired on Cyber Monday. Our currents special is the two-ticket certificate for $100 (regular price after Dec 31st is $130). You may purchase the $100 special at this link - https://www.gevatheatre.org/visit/gift-cards-discounts/ Geva no longer offers last-minute discounts except for Student Rush. The best bet to save on tickets is to buy in advance. The two-ticket certificate is always a way to save.
The name originated as Michelle notes and was shortened to GeVa. When artistic director Mark Cuddy arrived in the mid-nineties the name was changed to Geva.
I don't believe so. They do have their own cafe serving food and drinks.
Yes you can. The box office opens @ noon, Tues-Sun
Yes, there is a $6.00 order fee (not per ticket, per order) regardless of whether buying in-person, over the phone, or online. The fee goes toward the cost of our in-house ticketing system. We elected to purchase or own system rather than to go with Ticketmaster. We feel the fees for ticketmaster are too high for our patrons.
No official dress code. Ranges from semi casual to dressy, but not formal.
Noon until 8pm, Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 7pm on Sunday.
Lots next to Geva, and behind as well as Washington Square garage.
prices vary but the are not much and well worth it not a bad seat in the venue
